Because on November 14\, 1947 our pioneers of the Indian foundation of Sisters Adorers Mother Antonia Mene\, Sr Jovita Fernandez Gabanes\, Sr Maria Luz Martinez Caballero and Sr Adelaida Romero Amillano\, from Spain landed in India\, we humbly thank the gift of each one of them who toiled to place a tabernacle for the Lord among our Hindu brethren.                                                                \nAs we enter in to the 75th year of our presence in India\, the Indian provinces gratefully acknowledge the Lord’s Mighty Hands that led our Pioneer Sisters who journeyed through thick and thin of life with determined spirit and   courage.  May their noble souls rest in peace.           Our Pioneer sisters \nThe tiny seed which they planted in Puri\, Orissa has today grown in to a huge tree that spread out in India and its neighbouring countries. Owing to distance and easy administrative purpose the Province of India bifurcated in to two Provinces in the year 2000 as Province of Kolkata and Mumbai. Today they have 14 and 13 houses respectively with their presence in one foreign country each – Nepal and Philippines \nLike Micaela\, we believe that “liberation is possible”. Embracing their human frailty and encouraging their process of self-discovery that leads to healing\, inner freedom\, personal growth and wholeness\, we advocate the promotion and social re-integration of women and girls\, exploited by prostitution and various forms of social evils. \n  \nIn this 75th year of the presence of the Congregation in the Indian soil\, both provinces are getting ready to celebrate it meaningfully. My first profession was held on 9 January in Puri Sisters Adorers convent chapel with all its solemnity. The pandemic couldn’t block to accomplish the plan of God so beautifully. \nThe Motto I have taken is “CALLED TO BE BROKEN AND SHRED” which gives much meaning to my call. I am called to be broken\, giving up my total self for the salvific mission of Christ\, through the Charism of our congregation Adoration –Liberation. \nI was fortunate to make my first profession in Puri which is the cradle of Sisters Adorers presence in India. Rev. Archbishop John Barwa SVD was the main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist. Like a bride I was led in procession with lighted and decorated candle to the chapel along with my parents\, sisters and the concelebrants. This crucial part of the ceremony was when I committed myself to the Lord to do His will by living the vows of Chastity\, Poverty and Obedience in my life. Each and every moments of the celebration was very graceful\, significant and meaningful. In his homily\, Archbishop John Barwa highlighted the unconditional “Yes” of Mother Mary.  Like Mary\, I too have said Yes to His Holy will\,   trusting fully that He will journey along with me all through my committed life.  The beautiful choir led by Sr Bindu and other sister’s added meaning to the celebration and helped me to express the joy of my consecration. \nGratitude wells up my heart as I remember my formators and Sisters\, who travelled along with me and prepared me during my vocational journey to reach this stage of my life. A special word of thanks to my sisters of Puri community for making this celebration and this day a very memorable and significant one for me .
