SUMMARY:XII Provincial Chapter -Virtual of Kolkata Province February 25 -28\, 2021
DESCRIPTION:XII Provincial Chapter –Virtual of Kolkata Province\nFebruary 25 -28\, 2021\nWe are at the threshold of celebrating the XII Provincial Chapter – virtual\, of our Province. The Provincial Chapter is a significant event in the life of the province. It is an occasion for renewal and growth in fraternal communion. It is also a time for making plans\, setting goals\, electing office bearers and taking care of ministry. It is a time to thank God for all the blessings of the past years and seeking Gods continues graces for the coming years. \nThe Provincial Chapter customarily opens with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in which all the members of the Chapter participate. \nIn preparation of this event four of our Communities celebrated the votive Mass of the Holy Spirit on February 24\, 2021 and others on February 25\, 2021. \nAll Communities except three of our communities made recollection on the theme “TOGETHER ON THE WAY” preached by Deccan Ivan Fernandez.  In his video sharing he said that “Yes\, together on the way we are set to Adore\, Walk and Accompany. Allowing ourselves to be transformed\, living in Hope and welcoming the reality to live the Mission of Adoration and Liberation. It is a Kairos Moment/ an opportune time. Walking alone is a desert experience\, whereas when we walk with the significant other we know where we are heading to. \nDeacon Ivan continued saying that\, Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well\, He took a walk with her\, accompanied her and finally she was enlightened to adore the true Living God in Spirit and Truth. Jesus set her free from the burden of her sinful past.  Jesus took the challenge of breaking the structure to set free the bonded.   \nAnd the question to ask is Can we walk\, accompany others who are broken\, bruised and wounded? Can we lead the trampled down by human-trafficking?  Can we lead to the Divine\, living water\, to discover their image\, their dignity?” \nWhen the day was ended\, special prayers were offered for all the participants of the Provincial Chapter\, entrusting them into the hands of our Holy Mother Foundress asking Mary our Mother to intercede for each of them. \nGreetings and Best wishes from….. \nMay the Spirit of the Lord guide you throughout this Provincial Chapter. We all carry our treasures in an earthen vessel\, let us take care of it and use for the good of the Congregation.  Assure you of my prayers for all the Participants of the Chapter and all the members of Kolkata Province. (Sr Elisa Ardit Altadil AASC\, Madrid\, Spain) \nWe will be very much united with you all\, May the Holy Spirit guide you and St Maria Micaela lead you to design the future of the Province\, as you had always been very much identified with the Congregation’s Vision. (Sr Fara Galati\, AASC\, Rome) \nDear Sisters\, you can count on my prayers\, I will be united with you in a special way during these days.  May the Lord Jesus accompany you in all your works.  (Sr Carmen Bosch AASC\, Madrid\, Spain) \nI accompany you with my prayers\, Let the Holy Spirit inspire and guide all the participants of the Chapter. (Sr Margarita Navio AASC\, Rome) \nWe are united with you in prayer. Let everything go well.  (Sr Rosaura Patino AASC\, Rome) \nWe are with you TOGETHER ON THE WAY as you celebrate the Provincial Chapter. May the Lord guide you. Assure you our prayers. (Sr Elsy Chowallorse AASC\, Mumbai) \n“I shall remember all the delegates participating in the Provincial Chapter in my Prayers” (Archbishop Thomas D’Souza) \n “I will surely keep all the Provincial Chapter members in my prayers.  May Holy Spirit guide you” (Bishop Paul Simick) \n “Prayers for the success of your Provincial Chapter” (Bishop Govid Joji) \n “Your provincial Chapter Members will be in my prayers.  May the Holy Spirit lead you individually and collectively” (Fr Lawrence SJ) \n “Definitely I shall remember to pray for you all. May God and His Spirit lead you in the right direction and give you strength and enlightenment in this difficult moment” (Fr Jerom SJ) \n  \n

SUMMARY:The joy of committing myself to the Lord in the Congregation of Sisters Adorers\, Kolkata province 9 January 2021
DESCRIPTION:“My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” [Lk.1:46-47] \nAlong with Mary our most loving Mother I too proclaim the joy of having said ‘Yes’ to the Lord by committing my life entirely for Him. My first profession was held on 9 January in Puri Sisters Adorers convent chapel with all its solemnity. The pandemic couldn’t block to accomplish the plan of God so beautifully. \nThe Motto I have taken is “CALLED TO BE BROKEN AND SHRED” which gives much meaning to my call. I am called to be broken\, giving up my total self for the salvific mission of Christ\, through the Charism of our congregation Adoration –Liberation. \nI was fortunate to make my first profession in Puri which is the cradle of Sisters Adorers presence in India. Rev. Archbishop John Barwa SVD was the main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist. Like a bride I was led in procession with lighted and decorated candle to the chapel along with my parents\, sisters and the concelebrants. This crucial part of the ceremony was when I committed myself to the Lord to do His will by living the vows of Chastity\, Poverty and Obedience in my life. Each and every moments of the celebration was very graceful\, significant and meaningful. In his homily\, Archbishop John Barwa highlighted the unconditional “Yes” of Mother Mary.  Like Mary\, I too have said Yes to His Holy will\,   trusting fully that He will journey along with me all through my committed life.  The beautiful choir led by Sr Bindu and other sister’s added meaning to the celebration and helped me to express the joy of my consecration. \nGratitude wells up my heart as I remember my formators and Sisters\, who travelled along with me and prepared me during my vocational journey to reach this stage of my life. A special word of thanks to my sisters of Puri community for making this celebration and this day a very memorable and significant one for me . Thank You Lord\, Thank you dear sisters. \nSarojini Tete\, Kolkata   \nFirst Profession of SarojiniTete in Puri Chapel  On 9th January 2021 \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nEntering to the chapel in procession  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nThanks for your “Yes” \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nAdorers Family Rejoices  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nCongratulations Dear Sarojini

SUMMARY:COVID 19 A BOON OR DOOM FOR THE WORLD?
DESCRIPTION:COVID 19 A BOON OR DOOM FOR THE WORLD? \nThe Covid 19 whatsoever its origin and reason\, human kind has come to a halt from it all time busyness. It is not only swallowing the human life but also incredibly pushing the humanity to an uncertain and multifarious future with potentially profound and long term impacts on global life and economy.  Now is the time to separate fact from fiction\, subjective from objective. \nOrganisations are going to be faced with tough choices regarding how to successfully steer their day today activities amid challenges\, as well as an explosion of conflicting information and views on how to potentially do their business. \nReligious institutions too are not far from this situation that demand them find alternatives to be\, Sisters Adorers of Kolkata Province had very many plans and programmes chalked out\, but CORONA the pandemic appeared as “thunder in the blue”. We remained along with our world around a standstill\, forced to quarantine ourselves from all our personal and social services. During this cessation\, we remained inside of our closed doors. Perhaps during this quarantine – afraid of an atom size virus – that infected 7 million people all over the world gave opportunities for the Mother earth and the nature to cure and recover themselves from the human atrocities meted out to them through our irresponsible\, thoughtless and acquisitive behaviours. \nThere is no more noise and air pollution through loud speakers\, smokes emitting from vehicles\, factories etc. Wild life and birds started to enjoy their life freely moving and singing outside of their hide outs. Streets remained empty\, eateries became vacant\, factories stopped\, and business collapsed\, so also worship places. \nWe Sisters Adorers  life too was not different from the public. For us prayer became intensive\, food became tasty\, medicine became scanty\, less time for grumbling but more time for reflection and prayer.  Community became full\, chapel became the most often visited place thus Our Lord had the company of His Adorers always in this pandemic – quarantine. It has taught us to live with minimum\, contented with fewer. We learn to listen and appreciate the Creator God through long time meditation and prayer. It also taught us to listened to nature and enjoy it in the silence of the world. However for us it was a time for introspection – how do I live and lived my life as a committed person? Do I find the need to be closer to the Father God\, our creator? Just like an overused cell that is to be recharged. As if He says to us that “He” knows if not recharged enough\, the battery of the world would explode and the whole creation would blow off. There was ample space and time to be with the Lord to be grateful for His intervention in our life. \nMajority of us had to be contented with on line Eucharistic celebrations and of course to be faithful to other religious practices without fail\, but with more fervour\, and knowing the value of missing something very much dear. Contacting regularly through media of social communication the women and staff at our centres and occasionally by our physical presence. \n  \nIt was a never ending wait to see the end of Corona\, but in vain .While all the institutions Gov. and non-Governmental institutions planned work on line\, we too planned to hold meetings and working on lines. As the time passed we understood the need to live our life with the deadly virus. Here our prayer life seems to be more realistic\, trusting and abandoning ourselves in to hands of our Abba Father who knows what is best for us. We felt the urge to reach out to the needy specially the women of our mission\, collecting and reaching them what is necessary for their survival. \n \n  \nFor us Adorers in Kolkata province though outwardly we remained quartenine\, inwardly we were with our recipients and our needy world around\, seeking help from others and reaching out to them visibly. As the lockdown eased in all our houses sisters were not only praying for the world but also reaching out to the needy with our widow’s mite. \nTo be true\, it’s heartening to see the haves¨ has reached to the have not. People are becoming more and more altruistic\, some people are poor but so rich by heart.  This pandemic Covid 19 will make us globally one by chiselling off our selfishness.  It’s so ironic that “it takes sadness to know what happiness is\, noise to appreciate silence and absence to value presence¨. Sought of to say that\, Covid 19 brought so much loss in human life and resources. It has left us with lots of anxiety\, fear and uncertainty of the future. But then\, it helped us to become more altruistic\, brought to the Mother Earth and the nature\, relaxation from their overuse due to human greed.   \nLet us hopefully wait for Gods time that the Corona Virus may leave the world for ever and bring back a more just  and harmonious society where all of us humans\, animals and the plant life find its place in this universes which is the common home for all. \n              Sr Lissiamma Joseph AASC \n                        Liluah

SUMMARY:NEWS FROM HYDERABAD COMMUNITY\, NAVAJYOTHI NIKETAN
DESCRIPTION:Celebration of the death anniversary always evokes in us a sense of gratitude and a spirit of oneness. It binds us as one family and enables us to get back to the roots and relive the spirit of our foundress. It’s also an occasion to recall & remember with fond gratitude the life & mission of our Holy Foundress\, St. Maria Micaela & give thanks to the Lord. \n            We are challenged today to see the working of God’s providence in our present reality…to find meaning rather than mourning or despair. We are challenged further to consider the possibility that what lies ahead of us is not something merely to survive but\, by the grace of God\, something that will truly allow us to flourish. \n            The 154th death anniversary\, the feast of our Holy Foundress St Ma Micaela\, it all began with a nine-day Novena prayer\, & with a Captian theme in the words of our Foundress ”Let us love God with our whole heart”\, as a preparation for the celebration. \n            On 25th Aug. we began our feast by sharing in the sacred Eucharist “The source & summit of our life”\, which was celebrated in our beautifully decorated Chapel. \n            The inspiring introduction\, the prayers of intercession\, the symbolic offertory\, & the melodious singing by our children in different languages spoke of the praise of our hearts\, & opened to all dimensions of our apostolic activities carried out in each and every nook & corner of the world \n            The celebration was concluded with the agape meal with some of our close friends\, benefactors  & neighbor religious communities. It was really a splendid & memorable celebration!

After a time of refreshment we were led in to an hour prayer in which we really experienced her closeness and encouragement it has left indelible mark in our heart. \nGroup Work\nFr Francisco Javier CSSR led us with another theme:  Formation in consecrated life towards a culture of integrated formation and updating\, a formation that is human and that considers the person and a formation so as to become disciples. \nThen different groups were formed to reflect\, share and then put together possible criterias for the formation of initial stages \nThe theme Pedagogy of Adoration: Learn to Adore\, was dealt by Fr Xavier Quinza. He animated the group how to exercise a use of inner senses in Adoration and was summed up in saying to Adore is to enter in to the radiance of love that God has for us. \nOn 26th the group was accompanied by the associassion called RUAJ they gave us the mode of accompaniment and the pedagogical and spiritual priorities in the service of formation. \nOn the last day we spent our time in prayer and decernment. After which we pooled together the criterias that we had elaborated in different groups in order to accompany the formees of initial stages. The meeting was concluded with an hour of Adoration and Micaelian tour. \nWe experienced Congregation communion in this encounter of the formation of the formators. We are ever grateful to the General Government very specially to Sr Margarita Navio the General coordinator for the area of Formation. We gratefully acknowledge the self-less service of our dear Sr Carmen Urbano and community who accommodated us and seeing to every minute detail. We are thankful to Sr Mary Jacob for translating the message meticulously\, for her sacrifice\, commitment and dedication in accompanying us during this one month of our stay over here in Madrid. We would like to thank Sr Rossy Kompan for the timely help and support in translation. \nAsian Group\n \nNew wine must be left to ferment\, almost breath\, inside the wine skin so that it can age properly and eventually to be savored and shared.
